From what i can undestand about seronegative RA is that it is exactly the same as normal RA other than the rheumatoid factor not being present. According to my consultant this can happen in 20% of people who have all the other symptoms of RA.

Erosions are still possible as over time you can develop the RA Factor and depending on the start of your joints when it is diagnosed the erosions may have already occurred.
